Resorts To Fall In Love: Ani Villas Dominican Republic [PHOTOS]
During my latest trip to Dominican Republic, I was encouraged to have a luxury escapade to 'Rio San Juan' ultimate luxury complex called 'Ani Villas.' Once I got there, I felt there was something really different about this place and I wasn't wrong... this resort leaves you breathless.
This is a beautiful concept of all inclusive luxury villas that has been operating in other three destinations like Sri Lanka, Thailand and Anguilla, and this time lands in front of the Atlantic Ocean in the North of the country as an outstanding option for those looking for the best vacations with best quality.
At the beginning, Tim Reynolds, the owner of this international resort collection, went to Anguilla and created his own villa where he could enjoy with his family and friends. However, it did not take more than a blink of an eye for that majestic location to become a commercial project, for those who take a luxury holiday at its most higher level.
Of course, if we talk about dazzling beaches, beautiful mountains and the coolest people, we have to mention Dominican Republic. So, looking for the right place, they found province 'Río San Juan,' a very different destination, especially because of its nature and plenty ecological options for tourists.
Renowned Dominican architect Sarah García designed the place by taking her ideas and merging them with the whole resort notion but incorporating that Dominican element that can be seen right away once you access the place.
Ani Villas, is a fully staffed and serviced private 14-bedroom estate. It’s close to the most beautiful beaches in the area such as 'Playa Los Mino' and 'Playa Grande.' It has a total of 14 spectacular rooms with reservations exclusively for groups of five people or more.
Among its main attractions you can find two infinity pools and one especially for children with a huge waterslide. It also offers great amenities such as tennis lessons, cooking classes, bicycle rides, paddleboard, kayak, yoga and a beautiful Thai spa.
One of the things I loved about this place is how they really feel part of the community and how they help the whole area to grow by hiring people from the main town and teaching them to make their zone grow up and shine.
It is a luxury and sustainable tourism, where all the wonderful team, feels themselves part of the place, adding that human element you do not find in many destinations in the world.
The food in this place is exquisite. Dominican chef, Juan Mena, a native of this town, offers the best local food, with the freshest ingredients with an international twist. We had the chance to try a delicious Dorado fish wrapped in sweet plantain accompanied by coriander polenta with chinola sauce and sautéed vegetables.

Ani Villas is also interested in growing the community that surrounds them and for that operates a non- profit art organization (Ani Art Gallery) dedicated to instruct, at a full time program, all young aspiring artists from the entire country with multi-year art skills education under artist Anthony J. Waichulis system.
